Providing You with Pain Free Therapeutic Solutions

ABOUT

MY TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY

I believe the body has an innate ability to heal, and this philosophy guides every aspect of my practice. My role is to listen—to both you and your body—and provide a thorough assessment that identifies the tissues and systems most in need of support.

My primary treatment modalities are Visceral Manipulation, Craniosacral Therapy and Neural Manipulation, which I integrate with gentle, effective manual therapy techniques to address bone and joint mechanics, fascial function and visceral mobility. By working with the body's priorities rather than against them, treatments are individualized, pain-free, and designed to restore physiological relationships, particularly within the nervous system.

I treat patients of all ages and at every stage of life, with the goal of reducing pain, improving function, and supporting the body's own capacity for healing and recovery.

TREATMENT TECHNIQUES

TREATMENT MODALITIES

Visceral Manipulation

This gentle technique assesses the structural relationships between the viscera (our organs) and their connective tissue attachments to the muscles and bones. Adhesions can form in the connective tissue around the organs for a number of reasons such as after trauma, illness or post-surgery. The effects of the visceral manipulation treatment methods are often quite systemic, affecting many areas of bodily function.

Muscle Energy Technique

Muscle energy technique is based in osteopathic theory, which relies on the principle of reciprocal inhibition. This theory states that when you contract the muscles on one side of a joint, the muscles on the other side automatically relax. With this technique, gentle muscular contraction will be used in a specific position against a gentle resisting force applied by the therapist. This technique is used to increase range of motion and functional ability of various joints in the body.

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the function of the craniosacral system. This system is comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid which surround the brain and spinal cord. By enhancing the natural rhythm of this system, these treatment techniques have profound effects on the whole body.

If you are looking for a deep tissue treatment, I suggest that you consider an alternative therapist
